Rare Vintage 2000s Betsey Johnson Marilyn Monroe Wink Cropped Cardigan

An unmistakably playful Betsey Johnson 2000s cardigan, made from a soft, stretchy cotton-acrylic knit. From the front, the sand-beige cardigan has an understated design: a rounded ribbed neckline, seven luminous pearl-effect buttons and a closely fitted, waist-length silhouette. Three-quarter sleeves and wide ribbed cuffs and hem give it a neat, feminine shape.

The back provides the surprise. A large intarsia portrait of Marilyn Monroe is knitted directly into the fabric, depicting her mid-wink with graphic black features, one vivid blue eye and glossy red lips.

The short length makes the cardigan particularly well suited to high-waisted denim, skirts and trousers. It can be worn fully buttoned as a fitted knit top or open over a camisole or dress.
