If you love it, take it home before someone else does! .

Does Coeva Vintage sell fur?

Please note that Coeva Vintage does not support or condone the fur industry and offers limited and select vintage fur pieces. We choose to honor the life that was unfortunately taken, by using it for its intended purpose.

We acknowledge the conundrum of wearing vintage fur versus synthetic fibers that a majority of "cruelty-free" garments are made of. When given the option of available garments from slow fashion, or fast fashion, what is the most sustainable option?

(a) buying and using the 20-80 year old pelts of a finite number of animals thus fulfilling their intended purpose rather than it going to landfill.

(b) buying and using new pieces made of synthetic fibers, which perpetuate petroleum dependence; or natural fibers like cotton which is wasteful. On average, it takes approximately 10,000 litres of water to produce one kilogram of cotton fabric - that's 8,000 litres for just 1 new pair of cotton jeans.
